3D artists have been able to render caustics and such since the mid 1990's but rarely have they ever been able to do it based on their own specialized renderer. I wrote the photon manipulation code for this little baby and it's almost identical to the mray caustics except for a little washing.

What about the ray-tracer? Is this photon processor executed within a host or did you code the rendering too?

It's based on the modified POV-Ray caustics renderer.
